Please follow our step-by-step process and you won’t feel the pain!

  • Start by using a floor jack to lift your vehicle’s front side. Use two jack stands to support the vehicle. Put them under the frame.
  • Do the same with the vehicle’s back side. Lift it with a floor jack and use jack stands to support the weight.
  • Get rid of all the transmission fluid from the bottom. Check whether the transmission pan has a drain plug. If yes, this process will be easy. You just need a wrench. If there is no drain plug, you will have to work a little harder. Grab a flathead screwdriver and loosen the bolts.
  • After the fluid drains completely, remove the transmission’s pan itself.
  • Now, open the hood and locate the cooler lines. Trace their path just to be sure.
  • You will now need a flare nut wrench to remove the cooler lines. Start from the side with the open end of your tool. Slide it along the line until you reach the nut that is keeping it in place. Loosen the nut and pull the cooler line.
